Update: Alan Keyes Also on KWAM Sat. 4/27/13

April 26, 2013

Alan Keyes will join Eddie and me as guests on Straight Down the Line with Charlotte and Charles this Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. on KWAM 990. Charles Albert Johnson calls him. “a pro-life champion and a black conservative near and dear to my heart, one of my favorite human beings on this planet, period.”

Mr. Keyes is a well-known conservative activist and author. A former career diplomat, Mr. Keyes was appointed ambassador to the United Nations by President Ronald Reagan. He later served as president of Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW), and founded CAGW’s National Taxpayers’ Action Day. He was Barack Obama’s opponent for the U.S. Senate  in 2004. Mr. Keyes has run for President of the United States three times: in 1996 and 2000 as a Republican; and in 2008 under the banner of  America’s Party, a third party that he founded.

A noted pro-life advocate, Alan Keyes will discuss state- and national-level abortion legislation, including SJR127, a proposed amendment  to the Tennessee constitution set for 2014. The amendment seeks to reverse a  2000 Tennessee Supreme Court opinion that struck down our state’s restrictive abortion law.

Please tune in at 9:00 a.m. and call in to join the conversation.
